"we're a tribute to slade - we're called 'cum on feel the boyz'"
them: "new dawn fades...NEW DAWN FADES!...you don't know it do you lads? well if you don't know it -get off the stage!"
highlight : without any shadow of a doubt the highlight of the gig is the degenerative chaos of world in motion. a song that starts out half-arsed and gets progressively worse. so surprised were we with the notion of an encore, we hadn't even thought out who was going to be our john barnes before we started the song.
notes: our first 'away' gig - a score draw we think. two nervous performances from both sides with both displaying some attacking flair as the evening progressed. stourbridge were lucky not to find themselves cautioned for abusive language - while we got away with our abusive singing. a first cap for 1963. the first effort to do a soundboard recording of our performance was left disappointingly incomplete by the engineer dropping the instruments in the mix.
