"we're called 'four poofs and a melodica'"

us: "we're going to be playing tracks to celebrate a landmark album released 20 years ago - this is 'love & pride' by king" "we're such an authentic tribute that we're going to be doing some of the famous technical breakdowns tonight, this is kilburn '82" "that's enough rock music - here's some more galloping gay disco"

highlight: .....let us think about that

notes: this weekend marked the 20th anniversary of the release of 'low-life' hence the almost verbatim account in the first set. unfortunately, our third gig at the hope and anchor and, finally, all the warnings about the terrible sound came true. unlucky 13. a quite indefinable onstage treat where the monitors would swing from inaudible to unlistenably loud. additional sabotage from the engineer in the form of de-tuning our instruments and unplugging our wires while we were performing! the question of whether he was on the payroll of dark forces remains unanswered. meanwhile, the band played on with debuts for elegia (stonehenge), subculture (substandard), this time of night (too early) and 586.
ian (halfway through the first set) : this is the last time we ever play here

because the recordings were of such unlistenable quality, we're offering up some karaoke versions. until the technology to add lyrics is available you'll just have to lip read...
