highlights: how do you solve a problem like transmission?
notes: our second gig in two days - madness. gig number 40 - who'd have thought...
and for the first time we suffered an inevitable floppy disc failure. I don't know if we'd have been able to adapt or respond as quickly 40 gigs ago. but transmission was probably better received than confusion would have been anyway. we must have asked the venue to turn the lights down many times but we still felt we ended up playing in a brightly lit spacious auditorium with a very polite, seated letchworth audience.... hence the PFD references.
astonishingly andy made it to letchworth despite the previous evening's excesses - or perhaps because of them...

by contrast, will was a bit tired and confused and decided to play the guitar parts of blue monday on a bass...
