note: we meant to do leave me alone as well but we couldn't read the setlist. also note: this one didn't get stolen

us: "we'd like to say thank you to the smyths for lending us their gear - and thank you to new order for lending us their songs."

them: (post-match) "you didn't play my favourite! can you go back on and play 'age concern'?"

highlights: stage invasion by jem

notes: it was something of a leap of faith for us as we had to set off without any of the rackmount instruments that we've been using since gig one. for reasons too dull to describe re:order went into the gig with only a laptop and a sequencer accompanying their live kit. which meant that a setlist had to be hastily re:vised and sequencer parts re:written in the space between the soundcheck and 'curtain up'. not completely helped by a succession of punters assuming the guy in headphones was the DJ ("no I don't have any anti-nowhere league!"). still, it all fell roughly into place - helped no doubt by the vigour and gusto that we gave it.
