4 of the eight 'first passes' for our debut gig

almost witty use of re:appraised imagery for will's 40th birthday gig

a touch of fractured noise for ian's birthday

knowing we were offering up world in motion for the first time, a subtle hint was dropped for this gig (the week euro '04 kicked off)

selection for warren's birthday gig - he was a little abashed.
only the first two met with popular distribution. the lowlife style was offered up in keeping with our first use of band member image on promotional stuff

ill fated double-double flyer - in triplicate. once it had been printed up and passed around, the second gig of the pair was re:scheduled, rendering the flyer redundant

a playful inversion. the flyer that had to be printed out and presented was this image of daisy holding the tracing paper prop. a transparent artistic ploy that fooled no-one into thinking we weren't too cheap to print and distribute the entire lot on the 'low-life' material. but how else do you offer a downloadable version?

beautiful curtis image used cheekily but for the best artistic reasons. first use of recycling - but it makes sense in context. only the 'closer' one was used in the end

pre 'singles' re:interpretation of the leaf.
one autumnal in keeping with timing of the gig and the other a nod/extension to saville's sketchbook ideas for bluemonday, pcl etc applied to the later iconic image

the first pre-publication of a re:order setlist before a gig [though it becomes less of a guessing game as time progresses this gig featured at least a couple of debuts]
obviously, this setlist was only available in 'fac numbers' to enthusiastic code breakers

blue saturday thumbnails - broader spread here

another birthday, another self indulgent, obtuse flyer. marking out will's 43rd birthday in confusing style.

an inversion of a well used theme that resolves the paradox of working within each band's stylistic identity..... (er, yeah)

posters

first couple of passes at generic posters. venue and date information etc printed on stickers and presented in dedicated area.
note: quite criminal usage of as much actual original material as possible (the setlist of the time). shelved because no punter thinks it's a band poster.

more traditional use of band-type image. starting off as a flyer, this one has become the mainstay of our stash of generic venue posters

two more recent examples of generic poster templates. again, stuck somewhere between the traditional/expected selling of a band and the specific evocation of the stylistic sense of how the band should be promoted. and for those 'in the know' a taste of what to expect musically

sincerest and most respectful apologies to mr saville and his associates
